Adult Intermediate Only Pottery Classes

If you can comfortably centre your clay every time, then you’re ready to take our Intermediate Only pottery classes. Here you’ll work on throwing larger shapes, lidded vessels, and multi-piece forms—yes we’re talking about teapots.

How much experience do I need?

You should have a solid grasp of the fundamentals, meaning that centering your clay should feel intuitive, and you can throw a consistent cylinder with even wall thickness.

We recommend you take our Beginner/Intermediate pottery classes twice before moving on to Intermediate Only classes.

You'll also need an apron ($17), and two trimming tools ($20). You can purchase these from us on your first day.

How do I book?

Our pottery classes are divided into two levels of experience: Beginner & Intermediate, and Intermediate Only.

Our Intermediate Only pottery classes are designed for the student who already has experience with ceramics and is wanting to learn new skills and try some more ambitious projects.

If you have a little bit of experience but feel that you need to practice your foundational skills, then we recommend joining a Beginner & Intermediate pottery class.

The classes run once a week, for 6 weeks. We offer classes in the morning, afternoon, and evening, 7 days a week.
